All sixty-three, in the order of the book

My book

Every park you have been to, with your own words, your pictures and your video. Nothing here is shared with anyone — it stays on this device.

The tally

All sixty-three, grouped into six regions. Tap a park and your own page for it opens on the right — your words, your pictures, your video. The bar under each region fills as you go.

Live

The parks' own cameras, running while you look — twelve parks, fifty cameras, refreshing every minute. Offline they will not load, and nothing else in the book depends on them.

Before you go

One page per trip. Left blank on purpose — what each park wants changes every season.

The trip

Park
Dates
Entrance
Campground
Permit / timed entry
Road status checked

What to settle first

1Does this park want a reservation or timed entry? Write the date you checked.
2Is the campground booked or first-come, and what time must you arrive?
3Which roads are open, and which are still snowed in?
4Water — where is the last place to fill?
5Wildlife and food storage rules for this park.
6Leave no trace: what you pack in, you pack out.
This page is deliberately blank. Which parks need a reservation, which roads are open and where the water is are all true for a season and wrong by the next.

Top five

After twenty parks everybody wants to argue about this.

    How to use

    1 · Tap the map

Every pin is a park. Tap it and the park's page opens on the right. Tap Stamp this park the day you come out of it, not the day you book it.

    2 · Fill the page

Date, weather, nights, the trail, what you saw, and the rating while it is fresh. The stamp block is for the cancellation stamp from the visitor centre.

3 · Ask the questions first

Before you go is blank for a reason. Reservations, road openings and water change every season.

    4 · Keep it

Saved in this browser as you go. Save to file writes a sixty-three.json. Nothing is uploaded.

Park names and their states are facts. No agency mark appears anywhere in this planner: the National Park Service arrowhead is protected by federal regulation and is not used here.
